Course and some course options: You can take as many jumps as you want in the 55 seconds allowed. The joker is the triple bar oxer, that will be raised after your round if you choose to take it.

A HORSE GALLOPS WITH ITS LUNGS PERSEVERES WITH ITS HEART AND WINS WITH ITS CHARACTER [/b] It would be unfair to say that Alyssa Schueler didn't have some bravery in her. The problem was simply that she was inexperienced at what she was doing. Aboard Chelestino, Ali had faith that she wouldn't die, but the jumping idea was still very foreign and frightening to her. Both horse and rider were groomed to perfection. The rider listened for her name to be called. A few other riders had gone before her and already, the triple oxer was looking rather daunting. Her name was called and the girl entered the arena, trying to put on a brave face.
To start, Ali had decided on the least technical course to jump. Six jumps, nothing too fancy. The bell rang and Ali pressed for the canter, making a balanced turn towards the first jump. Trusting in her mount, the pair easily sailed over the first jump and Alyssa was setting up a straight line to jump two. Another vertical and Chelestino cleared it without batting an eye. The horse was a pro at this sort of stuff. Next, the triple bar. Ali squeezed to get her horse to move a little faster and open up his stride. They chipped in, but otherwise cleared the obstacle though Ali was almost left behind in the process. Her two point wasn't ideal, but she did get out of the horse's way. Next, a wider turn towards jump four, turning a bit tightly around an unused jump. The pair straightened out some and jumped the line smoothly, though Ali's nerves were in tatters just focusing on everything. The final jump was the triple bar oxer again, but this time, the rider was more prepared. She set up for the jump, but gave Chelestino the right to pick the distance. He left the ground when he was ready and Alyssa followed through.
Her first clear round as a jumper even though they were a few seconds over the time limit. Still, it was a good improvement. Maybe it wouldn't win the class, but Alyssa was confident enough that she wasn't totally hopeless at riding jumpers. More lessons would help.
