HELLO, HOW ARE YA? TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF.
Hello! My name's Quinn February Abel, I'm sixteen years old and just moved here from California. I've been riding for about a year now, so lots of people think I'm a beginner, but I'm actually really good at it. I'm not as experienced as most people here at North Creek, but sometimes, that can be a good thing. I'm still learning!
COOL. SO WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR FREE TIME?
I like to sing a little, but it's not really a constant thing. I like to dance, I love archery - I've been holding bows since I was a baby. I love to read, books are my ultimate favorite thing in the world. Curling up with a good book is always enough for me, besides riding.
I LIKE THOSE THINGS TOO. WHAT DO YOU DISLIKE?
I hate boys who are full of themselves. Girls, too. I don't like people who think they're better than everyone else, and people who take advantage of being famous kinda bug me. I don't really like it when boys ask me out five minutes after I meet them. I hate it when people don't cooperate with others, or when my horse decides to be stubborn.
UGH, I HATE THAT! WHAT WAS YOUR CHILDHOOD LIKE?
It was pretty good. I lived in Beverly Hills when I was little. My family's rich, so we lived in a mansion. I have two brothers, Reagan and Aaron, both older than me. It sucked, being the youngest, but I love my brothers. They're always there for me, even if they're bugging me like bees flying around my head.
So, I really didn't have much of an experience with horses until me and my family went to a Christmas parade in town square. I wore my white coat, pink knitted hat and gloves and clunky snow boots. It was snowing, but the horses in the parade didn't seem to mind. They looked so majestic, with the snow in their manes and tails. Everything seemed to be moving in slow motion. The stomping of the hooves echoed a little bit. It seemed like a dream, like a flashback. I'll never forget that moment, the day before Christmas, when I saw my first horse.
So then, a few weeks after I turned twelve, my parents sprung on us three that we were moving. I didn't want to leave, but apparently, daddy had gotten a new job. We moved in a few blocks away from North Creek, and my parents saw that I loved horses. So just a year ago, before I turned fifteen, they sent me there, alone - my brothers didn't want to go with me. Being wealthy, I'm here on tuition.
WHAT ABOUT YOUR HORSES?
I've got a thoroughbred named Quinn's Angel. She's a bay mare with a star and four socks. She stands at about 16.2 hands and is a little bit bulky, but not completely muscled. We both do jumping.
